Size requirements

The geometric size of the units shall be performed in accordance with UNE-EN 13373.

Appearance

The natural stone usually has variations of colou, texture,etc,..The heterogeneity of natural stone is sometimes matters of dispute between the contractor and the supplier as the expected look may not be obtained once the work is complete. Therefore it is necessary that the manufacturer provides a reference sample before his delivery in work.

Petrographic denomination

The manufacturer should state the comercial and petrographic denomination of the stone as well as its usual colour and place of origin. Petrographic denomination is determined in accordance with UNE-EN 12407 Standard.

The petrographic study of a stone not only enables classification and scientific denomination, but also helps predict future behavior as a construction material.
