Resistance to ageing by termal shock

The essay realises  according to the procedure described in EN 14066 Standard.

By means of this control, is possible to predict structural changes in the rocks, like the greater or lower ease to the flaggy of materials with planes of anisotropy very pronounced, breaks, fissures or swellings, been due to fast changes of temperature.

Frost resistance

This control realises  according to the UNE-EN 12371 Standard.
By means of this essay can predict the behaviour of a material subjected to cycles of ice and thaw, as they can be material placed in the outside, in zones with risk of frequent frosts.

Soluble salt crystallisation

This essay realises  in accordance with UNE-EN 12370 Standard.
Has to carry out when the open porosity of the rock was upper to 5%, determined according to the UNE-EN 1936 Standard and treat  of external facades in zones where exist levels of important pollution, or when they exist in the atmosphere particles containing this type of salts.

Sensitivity to changes in appearance produced by the termal cycles

This test is to assess any signs of oxidation of the stones containing metallic minerals, biotite, etc.., Or possible changes in tone of some marble or limestone. The assay was performed according to the procedure described in UNE-EN 16140.

Fire performance

According to CD 96/603/EC natural stone is considered A1 class in fire performance with no need for testing. This means that the material is classified “fireproof, with no reaction to fire”.
