Ventilated facade
The operation sequence on-site must be the one that follows: setting out, square laying, support section laying, termal insulation laying (if necessary), air space laying, fixing of the anchor system to the support, and slab laying.
Setting out
The on-site setting out will be carried out according to the project plans. Measures on the structural support of the executed facade must be taken in order to set out the bearing elements of the envelope and, this, to asume the dimensional variations that took place between the plans and what has been built.
Square laying
The squares are fixed to the concrete slab and the building facade in one side, and to the metal section in the other. In general, the squares are laid in an alternate way in both sides of the vertical section.
The aim of the squares is to anchor the substructure of the system of ventilated facade to the structure of the building and to the wall bear.
Alternate squares execution
Metal section laying
Formando parte de la perfilería metálica, puede haber perfiles verticales y horizontales (montantes y travesaños).
The vertical sections will be perfectly aligned and fixed to the squares, so a correct movement of the structure, as well as a good planimetry, is guaranteed.
In the case of using horizontal sections, these will be fixed to the vertical posts.
Metal section execution
Termal insulation laying
The insulation thickness will be determined in the execution project according to the CTE´s basic documents of energy saving (DB-HE) and protection against noise (DB-HR).
Polyurethane projected on structure support
Air space laying
The air space must have at least a width of 3 cm. The air space must have an appropriate drainage system in every singular point (lintels, concrete slabs, fire compartments, etc.) Likewise, the air space will be designed according to the CTE.

Fixing of the anchor system to the support
The anchor laying system can be adjustable in one, two or threee axes (axes x,y,z), depending on the mobility it can have, and it is posible to adjust its position when laying the stone cladding.
The system used to fix the stone elements to the metal sections consists of support plates and cramps in the groove anchors, and bolt anchors.
It is important to follow all the indications of the manufacturer for the correct placing of the anchorages and, likewise, that mount by personnel sufficiently skilled.
Laying of the anchors on the slab
Placing of the claddings
The claddings will place so that the boards between them remain always open, and his width will be between 2 and 6 mm, roughly.
